What is AdWords and how it works?

Google AdWords is a pay-per-click online advertising platform that allows advertisers to display their ads on Google's search engine results page. Based on the keywords that want to target, businesses pay to get their advertisements ranked at the top of the search results page. Google Ads is an online advertising platform developed by Google, where advertisers bid to display brief advertisements, service offerings, product listings, or videos to web users.

It can place ads both in the results of search engines like Google Search and on non-search websites, mobile apps, and videos.

advertising system :

AdWords is an advertising system Google developed to help businesses reach online target markets through its search engine platform and partner sites. These partner sites host a text or image ad that appears on the page after a user searches for keywords and phrases related to a business and its products or services.

Use of AdWords :

This is where paid ads (PPC) come in. Google AdWords is Google's advertising service that allows businesses to display their ads on Google's search result pages. The ads usually appear at the top or bottom of a Google SERPs (search engine result pages).

Types of Google Ads :

There are three basic types of Google Ads:

  1. Search Network campaigns – usually text form, these ads can show on Google Search results pages when someone searches for a product or service that’s similar to yours.

  2. Display Network campaigns – usually image form, these ads appear on websites or apps that your customers visit.

  3. Video campaigns – usually 6 or 15 second videos, these ads show right before or during YouTube content.

Most expensive keyword in AdWords :

Most expensive keywords in Google AdWords 2017. An indisputable winner in a ranking of the most expensive keywords on the Google AdWords platform is 'business services' with a cost of 58.64 U.S. dollars per click. One reason your Google ads have gotten so expensive is because of wrong timing. Get on the time report tab and see which times each day are not producing great results and are costing more money than you are prepared to spend. Check to see if it is a waste of your ad payments to show ads on weekends.

pay per click expensive or not :

Google Ads cost

While your business may pay a few cents per click on your PPC ads, businesses in more competitive fields, like the legal realm, can pay hundreds of dollars per ad click. On average, businesses should expect to pay $1-$2 per click to advertise on the Google search network.

For most businesses, a 5:1 revenue-to-ad ratio is considered acceptable. This means for every dollar spent in advertising, five dollars in revenue is produced. A 20% cost-per-acquisition, or CPA, is another way of expressing this ratio.

How many keywords should I use AdWords?

20 keywords

The best rule of thumb is to use no more than 20 keywords per ad group. Sometimes you can get away with using a few more, but exceeding a 20 keyword limit is a sign that your ad copy isn't matching the keyword being searched as closely as it could.
